A journey to the Machín Volcano, the Toche Wax Palm Forest, and the Combeima River Canyon. A space to recognize the culinary diversity, biodiversity, and resilience of a people seeking peace.
The route begins in Ibagué, exploring the connection between urban and rural life, integrating the social and natural history of unique Tolima territories. You will then travel via the Combeima Canyon, passing through the Normandy Valley until you reach the crater of the Machín Volcano at 2,749 meters above sea level, where you will enjoy a soak in the hot springs. Afterward, you will visit the village of Toche, the Wax Palm Forest, and the ruins of the La Colosa Mine in Cajamarca (Colombia's agricultural heartland). Then you will return to Ibagué.
