Nevado del Tolima: 5 days aboard yourself
Advanced Level · Altitude: 5,220 m a.s.l.
A journey to the Machín Volcano, the Toche Wax Palm Forest, and the Combeima River Canyon. A space to recognize the culinary diversity, biodiversity, and resilience of a people seeking peace.
The Nevado del Tolima, also known as Dulima, is an active volcano located in the Central Andes Mountains, between Ibagué and Anzoátegui. It is part of Los Nevados National Natural Park and reaches 5,220 meters above sea level. Its conical shape and the surrounding ecosystems—high Andean forest, páramo (high-altitude moorland), and perpetual snow—make this a unique experience.
In this environment, we will experience a process of introspection and self-discovery to explore our emotions and learn to manage them in harmony with the mountain.
5 days of adventure, starting in the city of Ibagué via the Combeima Canyon, passing through the Las Perlas stream, the Cañón hot springs, Arenales Camp, and a summit attempt via the Heliport route. We will return to the hot springs, enjoy a rest, and then return to Ibagué via the route towards Juntas.
